Answer: Guangzhou's July 20 airport bulletin says the registry at Baiyun Airport operates 24/7 in the temporary entry-permit application areas of Terminals 2 and 3. The same notice says eligible foreign applicants include people holding a valid foreign passport plus a Chinese Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card, as well as travelers holding a foreign e-passport and a Chinese residence permit valid for more than six months. After a one-time registration, the traveler's information can be recognized at e-channel-equipped ports across China.
Patients should still confirm directly with border authorities and their carrier whether their current passport, permit type, and travel purpose meet the latest eligibility rules. E-channel access can reduce repeated arrival friction, but it does not replace visa, residence, or medical-appointment requirements.
