Guangzhou's official international portal said on August 6 that a direct cross-border bus route linking Shawan Subdistrict in Panyu district with Hong Kong has been launched. The notice describes it as a door-to-door option with fixed daily departures and additional boarding points in nearby commercial areas.

For overseas families arranging consultations, follow-up visits, or recovery stays that involve both the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, an additional ground connection can matter because it broadens route planning beyond flights and high-speed rail.
