China expands visa-free transit and Hainan entry access for travelers from Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam
A National Immigration Administration notice dated August 20 says citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam can now use China's 240-hour visa-free transit policy and Hainan's 30-day visa-free entry policy, broadening short-stay travel options that may be relevant for consultations, checkups, and recovery-focused visits.
China's National Immigration Administration said on August 20 that nationals of Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam are now eligible for both the 240-hour visa-free transit policy and Hainan's 30-day visa-free entry policy. The notice says the 240-hour program now covers 57 countries, while Hainan's 30-day visa-free entry policy now covers 61 countries.
According to the same announcement, eligible travelers from the two countries may enter through any of the 65 open ports under the 240-hour transit arrangement when they hold ordinary passports and confirmed onward tickets to a third country or region. The NIA also says eligible travelers may enter Hainan through its open ports and stay within the province for up to 30 days.
